I adore this series with all my heart and now that is over I would love to read it with fresh eyes, because although I'm gonna reread it in the future and fall for it again, it will not be the same feeling I had the first time.

By the way, I posted a Covers War for Cinder some time ago where I talked about other of the beautiful (and not so beautiful) covers of this book, as well as for the other books on The Lunar Chronicles series: Scarlet, Cress, Winter and Fairest. Check it out if you're curious!

Which book would you like to experience for the first time again? Tell me in the comments below!

The Original Cover

First published January 3rd 2012

Languages: English, Dutch, Estonian, Indonesian, Danish, Spanish, Chinese, Hebrew, Portuguese, Greek, French, Hungarian, Russian & Swedish

Of course I love it, this cover is the one that made me notice this book and read the synopis. And... the rest is history, as they say.

My Country's Covers (Spain)

Languages: Spanish & Catalan,

Languages: Spanish, Turkish, Bulgarian & Polish

The first cover is pretty similar to the original one, but with the classic "crystal shoe" feel to it, and even though I like the idea, everything it's too white and too plain for me.

The second cover is one of my favorites, it's soooo pretty and I love the idea of featuring a doll in the cover, for some reason. By the way, I really need that dress and those shoes, if anyone is interested in buying them for me...

Favorite Cover

Language: Swedish

Look at that cover! It's so beautiful, intricate and detailed, and even though she looks exactly as a barbiefied Amanda Seyfried, and it doesn't look like Cinder at all, the cover is so gorgeous that I don't even care.

Least Favorite Cover

Language: German

The first time I saw it I didn't even notice that the pattern is made with shoes, 'cause I'm really stupid, apparently. Now that I know... Yeah it's a little better, but it's still boring as hell.

  1. She does look like Amanda Seyfried! It's got a creepy vibe :P I love the original, I can't help it. I find it perfect for the story (despite not having read the books yet).

    1. I love creepy stuf, but yeah... That cover has nothing to do with the story.
The original one it's just perfect.
